Jimmy James Kennedy (or Master Kennedy) is the founder of Mugenkairyugo (無限限界竜の怒号, Infinite Limit Dragon Fury), a type of mixed martial arts style that focuses on offensive power, durablity and speed movement, inspired by several real-life martial arts like Shotokan, Kyokushin, Shaolin Kung Fu, Southern Dragon Kung Fu and Bare-knuckle boxing. He is John Di Micco's sensei who is a typical strict master that pushes his students hard and train them in every chance they can get. What makes him unique is that he has only one arm, as his right one was ripped two decades ago, but that doesn't stop him from achieving the ki of a dragon, and since the Di Micco family line has the flag of the white dragon, it makes perfect sense why Carla send her son John to the dojo. When he met the student's girlfriend though, his mood changes and welcomes Rosie with open arms, as if he was a different person altogether.

His journey to create his own martial arts started in 1982, when he left the Kyokushin dojo over disagreements with fellow students. He moved to Japan not long after to train alone in the waterfall mountains, but during one of his trainings, he had an encounter with an old Shaolin Kung Fu practitioner from China named Xian Gaou, who was impressed by the young man's skill and durability. The old man decided to train Kennedy as his student for the next 5 years, before passing at the age of 107 from natural causes. To honor him, Kennedy implements his Shaolinquan arts as he begun to develop his own style, creating the prototype of the Mugenkairyugo arts called Shaoryugo. During his last years in Japan, he mastered more moves from different styles of martial arts from other people, thus finalizing his own and renamed it into what is today.

In 1990, he returned to the United States and married his longtime girlfriend. Eveything seems to be going great for him, he had a happy marriage with with his now wife, and even managed to have a son, but in 1994, his life would be changed forever. On the midst of opening his dojo, he had an encounter with an excecutive of the organization called NESTS, that man's name was Krizalid. Krizalid offers him to collaborate as he found this new type of martial arts interesting, but Kennedy decline it. Krizalid says that he made the biggest mistake in his life and that it will bite him in the ass before leaving. On the next day, he is about to return home after hours of training in the woods, only to see it burned down, with his wife and son's corpses engulfed by the flames and already dead. This sent Kennedy in a berserker rage and swears revenge against someone who did it. Sure enough, Krizalid appears behind him and reveals that he is responsible for all of this as a retaliation for not accepcting his offer. All he does now is to analyze Kennedy's fighting style and kill him, scarring him with battle damage and even ripped his left arm off, but before he can finish him off, the fireman soon arrived and ran away.

For the next 13 days, Kennedy was sent into coma in a Hospital before waking up. Fearing that Krizalid will return to deal with him again, he fled the United States for Naples, Italy, resting here for the rest of his life and opening his dojo there. In 1996, John was sent to the dojo and began his training under Kennedy as his student for the next 7 years, mastering some of the most dangerous and advanced techniques of the martial art, along with fellow students like Baldo Ruffiani and Tae Hae-won. To this day, whenever someone try to talk about his past, he will shrug off and saying its a personal issue, only a few selected people know about what happened.
