Description A poem by Pinkie Pie. Ballad meter. Can be sung to the tune of "This is your singing telegram." Art inspired by Gothic illustration, cf. "The very Rich Hours of the Duke of Berry."

Having encountered some incredulity that I wrote the poem myself, I think it prudent I state it explicitly. Of course, I took imagery and such from other poetry--for instance, "crown of stars" is a reference to the Iliad, the description of Achilles' shield. But the composition is entirely original.

I loe how Trixie ad Diamond Tiara are portrayed in this. They've found the magic of friendship!

The song is meant to be sung by Pinkie, so she is featured center in every visual section. I meant to imply the passage of time--if you start at the top and follow Rainbow's gaze, you see Pinkie frolicking, then the action calms down and she is crowned as Lyra plays. As the whole scene comes to an end, Pinkie comes home and spends time with Luna (the moon).

At least, that was the story I had in mind as I made it.
