Elijah Valentine, née Sanderson. He took on another name after being disowned by his family in 1901 for doing unspeakable (gay) things with the stable guys. He ran away to London, hoping to find a better place, trying to grab life with both hands but ultimately losing his own. He became a vampire, which finally set him free from the ties that kept him down in his human life. The night became his playground. Elijah nowadays works as a bartender to provide for himself and his beloved teenage sister Elisabeth, well just teenage looking since he selfishly made her a vampire too. He's also taking up the role of a part time enforcer for the local vampire regent of London, hunting down kin who went too far and allowed the beast entrance into their soul, risking exposure by not just drinking but regularly killing humans.
