Iain is a ghoul. A ghoul comes from White Wolf's World of Darkness games. They're human, but they don't age as long as they drink vampire blood, and they also gain minor vampire powers. Bryn is a Hollow One Mage - a sorcerer who bases his magic on Goth and pop-culture interpretations of magic. He's straight. So is Flynn. Flynn is a Ventrue - an aristocratic vampire clan - although he plays the role of a leather-clad, bike-riding rebel.
Ryan McGrath is also a vampire - a Follower of Set, a clan with a reputation for corruption and seduction. He's enthusiastically bisexual with a preference for men.
