As threatened, erm, as announced earlier, here's the shake-up. You see, around this time last year, someone came into my life and basically changed the way I saw my characters. Between StarEyedOcelet and I, the "London Nights" cast began to change, to grow. Through the addition of his characters Castor and Sydney and later on Myra - and countless nights of endless chats - I got a much better grip of my characters, too, especially Velkan. During the course of the past year, Richard got his boyfriend Tariq, Velkan gained a best friend and the entire cast became more of an ensemble than a group focused on and around Jonathan. And who didn't fit in anymore? Jonathan. He was too much the main character, his background dictated the direction for the stories and the group he was working with and also I realized that by creating a very powerful enemy group, I had really manoeuvred myself into a corner there.

So, TL;DR, it was time for a soft reboot of Jonathan to fit him in with the cast as a member of the ensemble and not the driving plot point.

That's how we ended up here. Meet Jonathan Bouchard. He's a freelancing self-proclaimed "Obtainer". He obtains artefacts and other supernatural items - for a price. Highly intelligent but also a bit self-serving, he hides his good heart under a snarky demeanour and usually works best alone. He's witch (or warlock, whatever you prefer, he doesn't care) whose power is connected to the pagan deities of old and his first contact with Velkan is both violent and passionate as the wolf steps in to help Jonathan in a fight with a disgruntled client before the two continue a different kind of physical interaction later the same night. Instantly hitting it off, Jonathan is drawn into Velkan's world and finds himself suddenly a team player. Something he's never been good at. But at the same time, he also finds something unexpected: love and a kind of strange family.

(I don't know how many people were actually aware of it, but his last name changed from Harker to Bouchard. I thought it was at long last time to cut ties with the name which was literally lifted from Bram Stoker since 10 years ago, Jonathan was basically a modern-day version of the character from the novel and the entire thing was much more vampire related.)
