I could imagine this thing loping about the prickly bushes, gnarled trees, and marshy land of a Nordic moor/fen/arctic marshland, blending in with the slimy and cold swamp landscape, waiting to lash out at an adventurer dressed up like the Dragonborn in Skyrim.
