Seasonal Task 20: Society of the Constellations AU

Across the world, supernatural creatures and forces exist that most people never know about. In many cases, this is a good thing, as many prey upon the living. Hauntings, monsters, vampires, demons, dark witches, and other terrifying creatures and phenomena… the list goes on. In order to protect humanity, the Society of the Constellations was formed.

Nicknames: Fev
Affiliations: The Society of Constellations
Occupation: Magizoologist
Specialty: Study and care of magical creatures; archery; hand-to-hand combat; toxicology and herbalism (when you live around magical creatures for long periods of time, it's good to brush up on these things, just in case something goes wrong); languages (Fev has traveled extensively, it's been necessary to learn new languages)
Age: 22
Species: Human
Home Base: The Society of Constellations; expanded space inside their bag
Family: Parents (currently living in Turkey)

Weapons and Notable Items:
- Centaurus pendant, worn on a chain and hidden under clothes.
- Leather satchel, containing an expanded space with a cabin and a sanctuary for creatures they have found to study and help.
- Bow and arrows, kept in their satchel. They prefer not to use it, but will if absolutely necessary, but less likely to hesitate if fighting a human.
- Various herbal concoctions and poisons

Background:
Fev comes from a humble background. They were born and raised in the Mediterranean, moving often between Greece and Turkey. They discovered a love for magical creatures early on after stumbling on a grove of dryads and the passion to learn more about magical creatures only grew through their childhood.

By early adulthood they had completed their obligatory studies and put all their time and effort into following their passion, leading them to the Society of Constellations. After being awarded the Centaurus brooch (which Fev wears as a pendant), they now have a proper home base, rather than relying on money or their magic "tardis" bag.

Personality:
Fev comes off as a stand-offish punk at first glance. When it comes to interacting with humans (or sometimes beings who look and act like humans) they can be awkward and rude, and will be eager to remove themself from the other person's presence as quickly as possible. They are much different when it comes to non-humans and magical creatures. They come alive and show a much more open and, to be honest, geeky side. Get them talking about their passion and they will be hard to stop.

If you show interest in magical creatures, they will a bit more open to you, but don't expect an easy friendship with them. They prefer their animals.

Known Associates:
(Remember, by default, Fev will not work well with humans unless there is a lot of work put into the relationship)

Artist's Comments

I almost wasn't going to do this task. I had no idea what to do for Fev for the longest time. People suggested in streams that Fev should be a unicorn tamer, and yeah, that was a good idea, but then I went to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (which I highly recommend you see!) and settled on a Newt Scamander-like character and profession for this AU.

Also, if you don't know already, Fev's favourite colour is red. So I just ran with it here XD And why are they a punk? Well, I saw the shaved hairstyle on pinterest, and before I knew it, they had this style.

And please excuse the half-arsed background. I was getting tired by the end XD

If you want to discuss AU relationships, go ahead! But there will be no sexy times. Fev is still asexual in this AU. Nothing is changing there.
