yeah, a friend of mine said the same thing about it xD it was the other way around though, I didn't get myself enspired cuz of it (perhaps because I never saw 1 epi of kenshin *drools over aoshi anyway*)

beh, kenshin's just not my thing -.- sides, a friend of mine's kept on boosting about it that much, that I got sick of it... and I sorta fall down on series that are just to populair like naruto, bleach, shugo chara etc... (not to forget one piece, but that has more reason just then that to be disliked...)

I meant about the Death Note stuff. 
I only like popular ones if their plot is good and they intrigue me, like Death Note does. And Vampire Knight. And Fullmetal Alchemist, too.

I LOVED FMA! it was so good!
I never got far at VK, though. it's to much of a 2 guys want the girl story for me. and zero reminded me to much of sasuke -.- sides, my favorite character (ichijo) wasn't in it enough ><
the mistake populair series make is just that they go on endlessly ><' they just don't know when it's getting lame and they should stop. FMA was really REALLY good, but I don't like what they did in brotherhood. it's just to american and so much faker. that's why I really like DN. it had a great deep plotline without any slowing down of the story. they only had a small amount of extra's though. I love extra's. the story of Beyond Birthday was super (specially because Mello was the one writing down the story. and the films, especially the second one was very good! (the third one was.... a complete insult though. a woman being the main vilain in DN!? that's just against DN morals! and Near meeting L KILLED me!I mean, Another note made so much more sence! Near the future, Light the present and Mello the past.) it's a shame of how little matt was in there though... but it's nice knowing that matt was created for mello and mello only ^^~<3
I also am happy with how they ended D. Gray-Man. though it was quite disapointing that they stopped, they didn't grade the anime down with stupid fillers (the fillers that were there, were pretty good though) they just stopped on a good moment, making it able for the story to continue if the manga gets far enough and they let everyone know that all the characters were still alive (Road! yey!)

Actually, I was impressed that they actually made a woman NOT helpless in the third live-action DN movie, and even put her as a Whammy's Girl. And I like to see the three live-action movies as an alternate universe. I found L's babysitting just precious, especially when he got TWO kids to care for. 
Can't say anything about D. Gray-Man, 'cause I never saw it. And FMA: Brotherhood wasn't "fake", it was following the manga.
And Vampire Knight had more plot than just two guys liking a girl. And he's nothing like Sasuke.

it doesn't make sence! woman are low rated in the DN world! only exeptions are naomi, who got everything chewed up by BB for her and weddy because she's american.
maybe it's just my disliking for near... it gave me a feeling like he really steals everything away from mello. I thought it made more sence that mello was theone meeting L, not near. because, looking at the characters, Near might look like L, but Mello follows his every ideals. (sides, the authors atmitted mello ''worships' L above anyone else' )

I didn't mean the story of brotherhood, just the way they bring it, with the annoying american 'fool mell alchemisd' *insert random glitter* for eyecatch and the way of art just isn't FMA anymore. moreover, I'm pissed because they changed envy's voice actor -.-#
I know, but it just didn't seem to pull me =\ at that time, I was also following nabari no ou, and that just pulled me WAY more, so I had to make a desision over both of them, judging with the other in mind. (I love nabari! didn't see it yet? watch it! >< [link] not a feel good anime, though...)
*boot to the head for sasuke* for people like Zero and Ikuto, sure, they're kinda cool and have a cool personality and story. it's really only because of the fangirls that they make me puke. but Sasuke doesn't even DESERVE fangirls! like, couldn't he have listened to Itachi's story BEFORE ita was about to die? -.-' (I don't like itachi either though. I basically stopped naruto because Gaara became useless, Sasori got killed and Kabuto's virtually random nothing of high interest to me)

Near is BORING! If it were to be Mello, he would have spiced things up! He would have actually CONVERSATED with L!

D. Gray-Man is the story about a young exorcist named Allen Walker [link] . He battles creatures called Akuma [link] who are previous humans who attempted to revive the dead with the help of the Millenium Earl [link] The Akuma take human form and feed uppon other human beings, but they can not fool Allen's demon eye who can see their true soul, nor can escape his anti-akuma weapon, the claw on his left hand.
This previously mentioned Earl is claiming to write the end scenario of the current world. Allen and his comrade exorcists [link] fight the Earl and his allies, the Noah clan [link] , (who claim to be descendants of Noah himself) to fore come this ending. Allen turns out to be more then your average exorcist, though.
