Description
One step after another, the young girl climbed over the rubble of stones and broken statues. A steep grassy hill falling into a wide ditch leading into an unknown cave was the story she was told. Statues of beautiful dragoness women were assembled around the land to represent the grand ones and their offspring.
As she continued over the rubble, the cave had appeared in plain sight; alone and mysterious, yet feels alive. The girl slowly walked up to the entrance, cautious of anyone watching. A low flow of wind came from inside, growing stronger as she stepped closer. Another foot forward and a large blast of hot air blew out of the cave along with a shrieking roar. A large dragon’s claw reached out slamming the ground feet in front of her fragile body, knocking dust up in the air and her hair flying every which way.
"STAY AWAY!!" growled a booming voice; its heavy breathes purring with agitation. "..Why... are you here...?" Its sentences laced with heavy inhales.
She was surprised by the unexpected outburst while stammering for a quick response. "I... I was told of this cave… through whispers!" She took one small step forward, careful and cautious of his gripping claw. "I was curious. To hear of a spawn-" A large head slowly became visible from the shadows, eying her with each word she spoke. ".. To... hear of a spawn living outside of the castle..." The child was brave, not afraid of the large beast, as she too was one equal to it.
The creature’s eyes squint a little before it finally spoke. "Outside of the castle... It's different here..." Its expression turned calm as it looked down at her. “It’s quiet. I don’t wish to be near those fools… So loud and annoying, walls and buildings always towering over you… Here it’s open and… pleasant.”
“So you don’t like living in the castle, a lone spawn seeking a different kind of scenery.” She paused for a moment as she glanced around the area, from the misshapen statues to the broken debris on the ground. “What is this place exactly?”
“This place…” it paused for a few moments as its eyes shifted around. “It is sacred… to me. The statues represent my mother, the Dragon of Deformity, a son of individuality. I prefer to be here than near everyone else, with the silence and the sun, and the open air.” He leaned his head down on one side to sit in a more comfortable position. “Child, your curiosity precedes you. Return to whence you came. I wish not to draw attention here…” The spawn withdrew further into the cave so he could sleep.
“I may leave, though I can’t say I won’t return. I’m interested in those who left to live a different life.” The girl turned slightly to take a step back then turned to the cave to say one last thing. “Could I at least have a name before I go? Mine is Jione, a spawn of Adventure”
He stayed silent for a moment before taking another heavy breathe of air. “If you were to call me something… I guess it would be… Tyarnos”

Poor guy seems a tad lonely... Someone needs a hug.

This was a spur of inspiration when i wanted to throw out another picture. Noticed another red picture and was like "Heeeey, I wanna do daaat!" If the redness throws you off then I get it, cause the color doesnt really represent well for the story. It's a color I do like to use for lots of pictures so I tried to use certain shades to take away the grimness it showed. The entire time I was working on it I had the story playing in my head. Story telling can really help with designing a scenery for a picture.

Edited the color to better suit the story. Had to ask someone else what they thought.

I think this took like 3 hours? I'm actually not sure. I started it before I did the stream, so I could be wrong.

All one layer no zoom in and no smudge/blending.
