I really really really really really really like the line work you did.  I don't know how in the world you are able to get it so smooth and professional looking.  I just got a wacom tablet for christmas and am having the hardest time getting my lines smooth and clean.  Here, you do a very nice job.

wow thanks! yeah it took me a while to get used to a tablet too. on most art programs you can change the speed of the lines and thats how i get mine really clean

Right now I have Photoshop Elements 10 and a Wacom Intuos tablet i just got (so I'm much more comfortable with pencil and paper for now at least), ArtRage Studio and Autodesk Sketchbook.  I mostly use Autodesk Sketchbook for sketching, and then Photoshop Elements for inking and coloring, but I'm open to new suggestions as I am mostly new to digital painting with Photoshop.

BTW Thanks so much for helping

wow so many great things in one comment i currently use paint tool sai. i do not have photoshop (yet) but it should have a setting that can slow down the speed of your lines.... try asking google thats what i always do
cool tablet i have an older version thats slowly dying im thinking about saving up for a new one.

keep practicing with the tablet it always feels awkward at first but you'll soon develop a feel for it

When doing your lines, do you use any special vector layers or any kind of line or layer settings?  I used to use sai until my 30 days were up, so I never really got all that deep into the interface, but I'm sure that there are tools and settings that are the same (or have similar names) in both programs.

i never really got into using vector layers, there is a small tab at the top right of the window in sai that says stabilizer when you hold your mouse over it. thats what i use not sure where that setting is in other programs though but i know they should all have them

thanks.  It's hard to know how to find anything when there are so many buttons and sliders...half of which I don't even know what they do and never use them.  I guess that all comes with experience.  Thanks

Well, I must say that is really a great pic, what a cute lil guy! The anatomy of him is completely different of all your charas, and I love that, it's very original with this lizard like style. He has a beautiful pathern and that shiny effect looks very nice. I bet the he must be frozen out there in the snow.

I gotta love how you combined this character's aspects like design pose and facial expression and use it in conjunction with the beautiful landscape. It really looks pretty.
