As the smell of worms and earth filled you nose, you looked around, wondering, what ever could be that smell?

You come face to face with a 6 eyed dog, its tongue hanging from its mouth due to no teeth able to keep it in place. In your moment of fear you wonder, wherever did a creation like that come from?

THE KNABTRACKER LORE-

On April 26, 1986 an event known as Chernobyl took place. A nuclear reactor blew up, and caused catastrophic damage to the Russian ecosystem. As it ripped through nature, animals and plants alike, a pack of wild dogs was caught in the crossfire. The changes that took place within these dogs were not immediate, but over time they found their teeth falling out, and their sight and hearing becoming stronger. Their ears became large, and they found that 4 more eyes besides their original 2 were becoming apparent on their faces. Weak and struggling to adapt to these new bodily changes, a few died off.

Then, the lead dog decided it was time to fight for survival. No food on the surface meant it was time to look other places, so he began to dig, and he dug until his paws burned and ached. He found worms beneath the soil, and was easily able to gobble them up due to their soft and supple body composition. He showed his packmates this new food, and so it began from there. The pack learned to dig, and that was where they found their place beneath the grounds of Russia.

The pack became comfortable beneath the soil, so they developed tunnel systems, and began to create families. As they bred, they found roman noses developing to plow through the dirt, their front paws becoming stronger to shovel that same dirt. Their night vision became keen, and their back legs underdeveloped due to no usage. When their numbers were finally built up again, some returned to the surface but found it unlivable due to their new adaptations, so the species stayed hidden away, rarely seen until just now.

People began to capture them, luring them in with soft foods like fruits and puddings, and began to breed them, altering their chemistry even more to give them calm temperaments to make the perfect pal. With years and years of living underground bright neon colors were sometimes found within the species, and horns within males for breeding seasons.

The Knabtracker is now known within Russia as the ideal dog, useful for vermin hunting due to their quick thinking and powerful digging, nothing can escape them. Despite having no teeth their jaws are powerful enough to snap human bones right in half, so any owners looking to buy this doggy better be prepared!

In your backyard its recommended to have lots of soil, as they spend their hot afternoon days lounging around in the cool soil, but with no reason to leave they make perfect companions.
