And I got to see the Pittsburgh Penguins play a really heated Hockey Game on 3/12/13. The Match kept me on my seat, because at first I thought I'd be attending a losing game. It was my first hockey game I have ever been too, and the Penguins CAME BACK!! YEAH!!! GO PENS!
Can you believe, up to this point today, they have an 11 win streak? They are on ICE!!
Anyway, I LOVE their Mascot, Iceburgh. One of the best Mascots I have seen to date, every video I have seen him in since 2012, he's always doing something that makes me laugh. Watching some of his antics around town, while I was having a rough time with my Dad being his caretaker last year, cheered me up and made me laugh. I went to the Penguins game, and he was there, even though I had to hunt for him, it was worth it...even in person he still manages to make me smile and laugh. I had a much needed wonderful time in Pittsburgh, PA and I didn't need to tell Iceburgh of my awful 2012 year so that Iceburgh would hang out with me for a bit for Pictures and signatures.
This picture is a tribute to Iceburgh the Penguin. I even custom designed the Penguin logo to center around him (...And as an awesome way to avoid using the copyrighted Penguin Hockey logo) I am going to send it in the mail, hoping I get a reply of some sort. Iceburgh made me PART OF his CLUB ICY!!! That is just too awesome!
Watermark will be lifted when I hopefully get a response from Staff of the Penguins team, hopefully Iceburgh himself

Yes, I actually got a response. From the Iceburgh performer himself. In June 2013 (my game was in March 2013 and I mailed a package with my printed drawings and thank you letter), he actually gave me a phone call. I remember seeing on my cell a phone call originating from Pennsylvania, I had no idea who it was. I said , hello? And he says " Hi there! This is iceburgh" . It was at that moment, I had immense excitement and a total freak out.
In my letter to him, I expressed how thankful I was to him for giving me such a good time since I was a caretaker of my father in 2012 and had a horrible year with him, and eventually losing him in death in November 2012. Iceburgh wanted to take the time to thank me for my tributes and reach out to me by saying he is very sorry for the loss of my father and happy he could make my day at my first penguins game.
I am planning on visiting the Penguins again this month, and I hope I can meet up with iceburgh again.

That is awesome. I too am a Penguins fan, but living in the Midwest gives me only a few select chances to see the Pens play. The last game I went too was in DC last year when Zatkoff beat the Caps 3-2 I believe. As of yet, I have never seen them play at home.
Like I said, all of the tribute designs were awesome, and I think Iceburgh is a classy mascot overall.

I checked the tracking number yesterday, and my document package (It contains prints of this piece and the Iceburgh logo and a letter about my thanks) arrived yesterday. I sure hope I get a response and that the Iceburgh performer actually gets it.
