I don't even know how did I get to this. because I could swear I was doing something totally different.Apophysis 2.09 + Photoshop CS4
I used the Octapol plugin for the tile and the Glynsim plugin for the main shape.

Gorgeous colours and different sets of patterns. The middle part looks like a maze

So full and beautiful! Great spiralling style, great gradient, great smoothness of the colours and the blur which confers it the "ethereal" effect, and most of all... wonderful spatiality. Pluridimensional to no end. A gorgeous outcome.
