I can recommend both Lorenz formulae and the Julia.
And maxing out the iterations (just enter a row of 9s and it will set it to max iterations, 421...something). And for animations there are rot4chaos and anichaoscope. You can use the same colormaps as for Fractint or JWF. If this wasn't old information for you..
