I think for the gold/shiny things, it may help if you either added another darker shade, or perhaps some reflected colours on top of the shading. o.o Either of those might help stress the shininess of things.

Yeah I was kinda thinking the same thing. I didn't want the shading to be darker than the lineart tho and I don't know. I did some highlights too but now that I look again they're not as bright as I thought they were. >> So I'll try again on another one! XD
