if it weren't for woodloving microbes and 600 lb/sq in pressure combined with 95 years on the ocean floor we'd still be able to see this William & Mary wonder...they've gone into the Turkish Bath and that's still remarkably intact and preserved...

There's a supported theory that the staircase may have ripped out of the ship when the water came in, so even if there weren't nasty little buggers eating everything we might not be able to see it anyway...

well I just recently read that the iron framework for them is still intact and of course some of the columns from the D-Deck Reception are still there too...I've always wondered about the lifts though, but since they were behind the stairs I guess they're gone too...
