■ Background:
Damien has been able to see spirits for as long as he can remember, and learned to keep it a secret from his parents very soon after they believed his "imaginary friend phase" should have ended. His childhood was fairly normal, aside from all the gruesome semi-transparent figures who invaded his vision, and sometimes his personal space. It was more of a hindrance than a gift, emotionally and psychologically exhausting to the point that he could spend days asleep and still be tired. When his parents finally decided (against his will) that he should be taken to a sleep specialist, he confided in his older brother the true reason behind his exhaustion. His brother, being deeply into the paranormal at the time, enthusiastically believed him. Damien was far less impressed.
The first and only time Damien was accidentally possessed he wrecked the house, leaving it the worse mess his fairly wealthy parents had ever seen. They came home to two stories, trashed, with Damien sitting on the ground, shaking. The scarring on his face, chest, arms, and legs was (mostly) faded with expensive treatment, though during recovery he knew his parents were planning on sending him somewhere "private" to be dealt with. His brother helped him escape the hospital, giving him the most belongings he could fit in a duffel bag and a bus ticket out.
Damien knew he'd fit into Indieville the moment he arrived.

- Has a tape recorder/player - he likes making mixtapes and recording journal entries (a lot faster than writing it down. he rarely listens to those again, though)
- Has a photo album that is absolutely packed. It's filled with major events, small things he managed to capture, everything. He has it to remember what his life is, essentially, because sometimes when he's possessed the ghost's memories mix with his and he's not sure what's real.
- Most of the scars on his arms are from when he had to "ground" himself, usually when ghosts either possessed him or were tormenting him. Many of the scars in general are from his rebellious teen phase when he did a bunch of stupid shit.
- Definitely has undiagnosed depression
- Likes: Sweet things, rolls, all snack food, long car rides, listening to music (loudly), helping people, smoothies
