As for your art the main thing that sticks out to me is the color, you make good choices it seems when it comes to that. A particular example is your Pietersite, they are so vibrant!The only thing about your style that I don't particularly like is it's a bit... blurry? Like it's mostly clean lines but then there are some weird parts, it's kind of hard to explain. Not as clean cut I guess. But that can be good too! It's just not something I particularly like. And it's not like I could do any better
Actually to be honest it's not about the style of the lines like I thought at first, I looked closer and it seems that for inner lines you color them instead of using black or a dark color. That's a stylistic choice, but to me it seems like it breaks up the movement of the line, so to speak.
Sorry for being so critical! I do really like your designs and I hope you continue to do those! Your style is fine, it's mainly my personal preference when it comes down to it.
And I don't have a pet, but I collect dolls. Would one of those work? (probably not but it's worth a try haha)

Thank you for that thorough critique, really! Don't worry about sounding too 'critical', I specifically asked for it so thats what I wanted: for people to be honest about what they like/don't like. For the lines, do you mean some of my oldest pictures (the ones with thick lines)? Because those were the ones i inked with a marker as i didnt own a tablet or a scanner yet so I wasn't really able to edit out the picture blurs. Or do you find it in earlier pictures as well?
And for the colored lineart it was merely a choice I decided to try on gems as well, but yeah Now that you mention it, it's not very suitable for a style like that/I need to improve on it. Thank you!

Sorry I never got back to you on this! Basically the issue I had with the lines is that they would start out black or dark colored on the outer lines of the character, but they would change colors suddenly when they became inner lines, which I found jarring. I mostly noticed this on your gem art, an example is the top left most gem in this: fav.me/dapgng3
where the elbow on the gem's right (the left of the picture) is, there's a part of the line that turns black and then turns pinkish again. I found that a bit confusing as at first glance it seemed like the arm was part of the hair. now, I think that can work sometimes, but it can also break up the lines of the gem enough to be... disruptive, I guess? Like disrupting the flow? I don't know art terms so I'm probably not explaining right. And the gem's other arm seems to work better, so maybe it's just how the black line transitions to the colored line. Maybe a bigger difference in line width for the hair vs the arm would help, but if it were me I just wouldn't do it in the first place. However like I said the other arm looks fine, but maybe that's because of the lighting,
All that is just what I saw in that one gem, so I don't know if it works better in different color pallets maybe... honestly I think if the shoulder of that arm was also darker it would work a lot better. Basically, consistency in the same line.
And using lighter colors isn't always bad! That gray gem in the same image works really well, because the grey lines are all for the same shape, the skirt. There's a reason for it to be that color and it works well!
I'm just stating my personal preference though, I wouldn't consider myself experienced enough in art to be an authority on how to do it. This got kind of long, I'm sorry about that! I need to work on explaining things more concisely I think. :/
Most of the time I'm actually really impressed with your art! And I think the color thing is creative and it can work well sometimes, it just depends.

Oh thank you for the thorough explanation, I'll definitely keep these things in mind the next time I want to try coloring the inside lines. To be honest don't worry about not having "artsy" terms or thinking that you aren't as good of an artist to give critiques. Most professional art critiques have probably never held a brush in their hands, and useful constructive criticism can be given by anyone! So thank you again, I'll keep your suggestions in mind definitely!
