I really like your style, it's got a unique feeling to it. The coloring is fine to me honestly, it gives it a kind of glowing feel.

I really like the lineart, it's a pretty unique style, and you captured him pretty well I think. 
And the coloring's really nice toos, It looks kinda glowey. I've always liked that Method!

The skin looks fine ^^ I don't have a tablet either, but I retrace over sketches with a black ink pen, and then scan it. ^^ Or you can trace it with OpenCanvas once you can scan it.

I know, sometimes I'm afraid of messing it up too. >.< But what I would do is outline it (very firmly) in pencil, and erase any stray marks or smudges. Then I simply take the ink pen and go over the pencil lines. That way it is easier to keep on track.
