This is a beautiful redrawing of the scene from the show, and I must say that the way you added those subtle tears to the rage made it all the more intriguing. However I feel like though Star is done very well, you could have given Luna some more edge. Yes, I understand that as a "spirit" she would have a more ethereal look to her, but more detail in the wings and where the cape meets the snow would improve the look of the painting. Same with the background. A few sharper edges here and there and though Luna would be more defined she would be the softest part of the image. Which I believe should always be the goal of a piece of art like this. On the other hand the lighting is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. The detail in Star is terrific and I think you did this scene justice. Maybe even went above and beyond that.

The colors really blend together amazingly and definitely shows the mood of the scene. You can also see the mass movement of all of the objects like the cloak, wings,and snow. The lines are extremely smooth which is usually a major problem with this style. The tones in this picture captures the eerie and dark atmosphere from the show. However, I'm not sure if this was on purpose but why is Luna's hair white? I'm really not trying to be nit picky but I feel like her hair blends too much with the snow and having the usual blue would make it standout a bit as a separate object rather than it looking like the snow.

I think the point of having white hair is to make her feel more menacing. But that's just me.

i dont think so. When I first saw the pic it was a little hard to tell where the hair was. But whatever opinions are opinions.

Vision: First things first. This was a great scene from the show and I like how the artist portrayed it. The angle! The lighting! It all is great and scores the vision factor 4 stars.
Originality: Thou this is taken straight from the show horse's mouth it still has a good amount of originality. I really like how much detail is put into it and the whole cloaked you can't see that I'm Luna look. 3 stars hooves down.
Technique: This a greatly detailed digital piece and goes the distance to portray the feeling of this scene in its every detail. I give it 4 stars, great job!
Impact: Like I said the scene in the show had a great impact and now that it's frozen in time as a picture only adds to the impact. It is just outstanding the way it draws the viewer in. 4.5 stars.
Overall it is just amazing and the only changes I'd suggest is for the artist to try it from another angle. maybe from Starlight...I mean Snow's prospective. Either way I can't wait to see what else this artist has to offer.

First off what I see is Luna that strikes fear in the ponies who gaze into her eyes. The reaction is really amazing in this one, for if anyone was in Snowfall's hooves she would have changed her mind about Hearth's Warming altogether after seeing that. This artist has really put in a lot of effort into this one and the effort has been worth it. Overall, the pic I see is something people would see out of a nightmare on Hearth's Warming eve and really brings the word nightmare a good name. You can really feel that moment. That moment of pure terror when Luna gets mad.
The composition is great, and the juxtaposition between "star" and Luna is a study of Dark and light.
Luna's cape and wings create a such a menacing background to her glowing other-worldly eyes. Her whole manner really conjures the image of Horror that the Spirit of the future is supposed to express.
"Stars'" defense posture help to show her fear her solidity versus Luna's Ghostlike form makes her seem very "pony" and vulnerable.
The background is cold and windy with deep snow and destruction, truly creating a scene of despair and misery.

I'm just saying this, but.... Luna doesn't look like Luna. I mean, Luna's hair is a dark blue, but in this picture it's white. I'm not saying anything bad about it, as it works well in the picture, but I almost didn't recognise it as Luna until i saw the tag and also realised what episode of MLP this was from

Maybe this is how My Little Pony Friendship is Magic needs to end.Β Bring back the Windigo and have them bring so much havoc that Twilight Sparkle is injured in her castle with Starlight Glimmer, and Spike.Β Applejack, Rarity, Pinky Pie, Flutter Shy, and Rainbow Dash are frozen outside, and the only hope left for Equestria is Sunset Shimmer in the human world along with some others at Canterlot High.Β Being that the Elements of Harmony are useless without the Mane 6 in Equestria the Mane 6 at Canterlot High have to come and save Equestria and Twilight Sparkle.
