Sorry. Meant to type this a while ago but got really busy. I absolutely love this. To be perfectly honest this is probably the best commission I have gotten of my OC to date. Thank you so much!!

Same here, they had a charm digital music could never hope to achieve!...but no, I wouldn't give up the convenience of the digital formats!
Also, referring to the "B-side" as the second or later part of something goes way over the head of the kids today!

My Dad cringes and speaks of this horror,as a teen, growing up with this nightmare of the Cassette.
I'm happy I never have to endure this angst. This is too funny.

But you did had to live with the horrors of CDs scratching, MP3 players corrupting and of course, Ipods Breaking when they fall c:

Him, me, and a few million other folks, sadly.

And don't EVEN get me started on 8-track tapes, and when THEY got messed up!

There was absolutely NO saving THEM like this if THEY got unwound from their cartridge and went all spaghetti noodles on you!

You kids today have it SO lucky now!

DraconisZodiark In reply to WhitewolfStormrunner [2015-10-09 03:46:17 +0000 UTC]

I'm old enough to remember 8-Tracks. Still have a box full of them.

Really?  Cool!

Yeah, that's me, too.

I think they're all in storage right now, though.........

ElementOf-Loyalty In reply to WhitewolfStormrunner [2015-10-07 16:14:31 +0000 UTC]

When I see the reel to reel recordings tapes, I think "WTF".

The worst I endure is the skipping CD or the scratched DVD.
Both which can be replaced by mp3.

WhitewolfStormrunner In reply to ElementOf-Loyalty [2015-10-09 04:35:44 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that's the reaction of a lot of younger folks who see them and don't really understand what they are.  Those were just the tech of an earlier era.

And I heat ya there.  I absolutely HATE it when my fave CDs either skip of freeze.  Drives me nuts!

True, but I don't have that.

YET, anyway.

When I taught my Dad how to download/convert youtube to mp3 audio,my Dad downloaded every album he could find from his childhood.
His ringtone, on his phone, is of Jimi Hendrix (Which I love).

WhitewolfStormrunner In reply to SalamiShowdown [2015-10-07 16:04:14 +0000 UTC]

Too true.

I'm one of those that does, though.

Had more than ONE cassette player/recorder back in the day, and I absolutely HATED having to do this when one of them tried to "eat" the tape that I was playing.

Talk about a pain in the hands and fingers!

Thank goodness for the CD player that we have now, though.

SalamiShowdown In reply to WhitewolfStormrunner [2015-10-07 16:32:04 +0000 UTC]

haha too true, but it did teach valuable skills like be able to tell when your cassette tape was about to get chewed to death & patience for having to wind that whole thing back in without breaking it xD
