I'm always looking to improve my underwater effects. And I'm also always looking to refine the character designs of the "Forever 16" cast. And I'm always looking for good photo reference to bulk up my anatomy skills. So I decided "Hell, why not do all three at once?" Thus, I begin a brief series wherein I put the "Forever 16" cast in the pool for some conceptual photo shoots, based on the underwater photos I find myself most inspired by.

When I found this photo on Flickr [link] , my mind immediately drifted to the ongoing feud between Joel's mom Tina and her obnoxious next-door neighbor Patricia Duquense. Though I doubt their rivalry would ever really become so heated that they actually draw knives on each other, the concept definitely felt metaphorically accurate.
