I felt it would be fun to make a study of every Zelda character once in awhile, both canon and OC that I have drawn or will come to draw in my series and maybe shed light as to why I chose their designs.βHe rose from nothing, took control of the Moblins, cursed the Gerudo for failing to join him, splintered the Sheikah people, took over the Kingdom of Hyrule and their Princess, and brought the greatest destruction the land of Hyrule has ever seen.β - Queen Zelda I
Full name and other titles: Ganon, the Moblin King, the Great King of Evil
Appearances: Nearly every Zelda game(canon) Mentioned in Gerudo Wars (non-canon)
Design Notes: The ultimate destructive enemy Hyrule has ever faced, I really fealt the ugly blue boar could use a nice face-lift. Ocarina of Time did a wonderful time recreating Ganon, and I felt I should mold that design with the original piggish creature from the older Zelda games. In addition I thought it would be interesting to clad this massive beast in armor. The Mordor designs from LOTR are an obvious inspiration for how it came out here. I can promise for certain Ganon will not resurrect himself in Gerudo Wars... I promise.

Ganon's motivation ending up being something well intentioned and good has been around for a very long time in my mind.

Okay I know this sounds stupid but why is he green?

He's supposed to be blue but I think I was trying to do something with the stained glass and all. In all honesty I think this is one of my worst (if not the absolute worst) of my Zelda studies I've done.

I also love how you have him both a sword and a spear, to coincide with the two different weapons he's been shown with in various games

I just thought of something. Why do some bosses look like Ganon or has some connection with Ganon. Is the effects of the Triforce of Power is so strong that his evil influence effects the Zelda Universe or is it that his hatred of Link burns so fiercely that his soul will not rest until he sees Link dead?

Ganon is a spirit, and not a person.
He takes over a person (EX: IN OOT, HE TOOK OVER GANONDORF), And manipulates them.
In the Gerudo Language, the name Ganondorf literally means "Not to be touched by Ganon". This means that when Twinrova named Ganondorf, she did it in a sort of ritual, to try and keep the evil spirit of Ganon from entering his body when he became King.
It obviously failed.
The pig-esque form comes from the spirit hopping from body to body.

You promise Ganon won't resurrect himself. .......Doesn't that leave him open for appearances as a malevolent spirit? Or being revived by someone else? Or just plain not dying at all?

Reminds me of teh Zelda RP me, RosesKnnight & Zosh are doing. I play ganondorf, Zosh plays Lord Arcana, & ROsesKnight plays Val Asheus. And Val & Arcana were talking to Ganondorf and he was all like, 'I'm the only n here whose actually succeeded n taking over Hyrule..."

Well we shouldn't worry that much, why this menagerie of people will soon figure out when and where Ganon will appear hopefully in a short amount of time.
