I have an au where Rainflower, Crookedstar’s mother, was the one who helped Leafpool give birth. When Jaykit was revealed to be blind, Rainflower told Squirrelflight and Leafpool to leave him for dead, saying it would be mercy. Eventually the two she-cats relented, doing as Rainflower said. Before Jay could freeze to death, Sol found the kit. The rouge brought Jay to Windclan, claiming Jay as his own. After Jay, now Frost, was weaned, he and Sol left the clans. Sol was a caring father, teaching the kit all he knew. With Thunderclan, most was the same, except Leafpool and Squirrelflight said that Jaykit froze to death. The Holly and Lion’s experiences were mostly the same, except that Hazel tail was now the apprentice of Leafpool. When Sol took over Shadowclan, Frost was with him. Frost was treated with high regard. One thing that changed was while Holly and Lion were spying on Shadowclan, they learned from a conversation between Sol and Blackstar that Frost wasn’t Sol’s real son. When they told Frost this, he still defends Sol, saying that Sol was still his father, even if not by blood. When Holly reveals everything at the gathering, she adds that Frost was her brother, after she put the dots together, and that Squirrelflight and Leafpool had abandoned him. They say the only reason they did it was that a Starclan cat told them to. This really causes a ruckus in the clans. When Sol returns, Frost does to. During the encounter where Sol runs away, Lion instead attacks the rogue, killing him by accident. Frost is understandably upset, attacking Lion. When Holly tells him to stop, that he would be killing his kin, Frost learns about the truth. He is brought back to Thunderclan as a prisoner, where he later escapes.He eventually is convinced to help the clans fight the dark forest. He then joins Thunderclan as Frost soul, asking To be named after his father. He becomes Sparkpelts mentor later on.
