Everything about this is meant to be buggy.
But i gave up on looking bugs in the latin word list, so i settled for...eh..terrfying, something like that. Worked yesterday and all day today on this bad boy.
For , as part of our art-trade...from... x-mas. It's long overdue. I've designed 3 other dragons for her, so this is just the forth. She uses them for her manga---which i only realized in the middle of doing this picutre, i have no idea what manga they're for. But she gives me free range, which is kickass, so yeah. Check out her amazing work, and the amazing work she does for other artists.
When i finally ask what manga they're for, i'll post links to it here.I hope it's okay, I took a long time thinking this one through--this hexadragon of overbite-ness.
I also colored it because.. i wanted to put more oomph into it. and the colors are just my own interpretation, you can make the thing a rainbow of terror, if you'd like.The Other designs: [link] [link] [link]

After trying to draw this creature in different poses and angles last night, I decided:
For easier handling.... I have to change him to 4 legs instead of 6 legs. You maybe used to drawing such a creature, but I am not. 6 legs gets hard to pose in all position and harder to find reference for.
That's the major change, that's how my design will be based on yours.
I will still include your original design in the book reference sheets to give you the credit for it.

i DID notice the lack of front and back..... =.=b those are hard to handle... and to think if you are doing a manga on a large scale, you need to draw it sitting down, rolling over, dead, wounded, walking.... *shivers* I already have some difficulties with placing the items on it and strapping it without hindering the flaps... that's almost impossible unless there's something that is glued to them.

Is this animal fur based or scale based? Warm blood?

It's scale based, and cold blood. Uses the flaps to warm up in the morning.

This fits completely to the environment of a tribe i have in 2Masters.
I was trying to think up ideas for the local dragons that can replace the buffalo and oxen. Giant Eagles replaced the horse.
I don't think I will use your design as cow design (meaning food source animal).... so I will make my own creature for that. lol~

You misspelled cartilage. His glide ratio would also be quite poor due to a lack of efficient wingspan.
However, I do like the overall look. Very much like you'd see as a link in an evolutionary chain.
