Leviathan has been fascinating to me ever since I first heard how it was described in the book of Job. I like the added detail in the third sketch; the facial features and scales.

Thank you so much!!!
...When first heard about this serpent/hydra I was thrilled, as I am a sucker for dragons and serpent alike. I wanted to learn more about it and I was very surprised when I discovered it was one of the Princes of Hell.
I have a bit of a plan for her, my Leviathan.

Yeah it was really surprising to me. I haven’t done any heavy research but according to “The Lanterne of Light's classification of demons”, “Binsfeld's classification of demons”, demons are classified by the seven deadly sins therefore seven Devils.

Ah. I'm not familiar with those resources, but it's interesting to hear other views. According to the account of Job Leviathan was a physical creature, enormous in size and fearsome, traversing both land and sea, with heavy armor scales and breathed fire! I suppose there could be a demon named after him. But I don't know much about demons. In any case I like your rendition of her.

I am not really familiar with it either but It was a just a light research hhaha. Due to the bible’s inconsistency, I’m currently unable to find stable sources as a foreigner. I haven’t heard of this “Job” and I am quite interested to hear further about their work.
I’m bit conflicted on her full body design so if you have any good sources feel free share with me.
And I am very glad that you enjoy my design!!! 🖤🖤

Wow I just realized you're from Mongolia. That's awesome, lol. Full disclosure, if you've ever heard of one of those crazy bible-belt American southerners who believes in a literal 6 day creation and a worldwide flood and all that.. well that's me, haha. Scripture is the lense through which I see the world, so if there's an inconsistency with that I'd be interested to hear about it. No worries though I'm not easily offended. I look forward to seeing more of your Leviathan. The body will be a challenge but I'll enjoy seeing what you come up with. I'm a sucker de dragons myself.

That's a very informative video, thanks for sharing. I'm not a scholar but if I have time I'd like to have a critical look at some of his claims regarding the history of leviathan and parallel legends. He asserts that leviathan is basically a 'fad that caught on' with the Israelites' but of course I believe that Leviathan was very real. And I do get a kick out of artists renditions of raptors eating fruit.

Alright so I'm not a scholar, but I did talk with a few recently about that Leviathan video you sent me. Here's what I learned: the book of Job is universally recognized by scholars as the oldest book of the Bible. It is so old that it is also the most difficult to translate; the language is extremely ancient. Due to the context in which the book describes Job and particularly how his wealth is described, it is believed that he lived in the same time period as Abraham, up to 2200 BC (well before the book of Ba'al mentioned by the video narrator was written). The story would have been passed down by Job to his children and successive generations until writing was invented when it would be recorded and eventually added to the Bible, not as an adaptation of another cultures myth, but a true account of ancient times. Personally I think it's extremely unfair that the video narrator calls leviathan a 'fad that caught on' with the Israelites when he has no clue when the book of Job was written. He admits himself that it is the most detailed and lengthy documentation of the creature. It is just as likely that Leviathan was a reality that ancient peoples were familiar with, and each made their own legends to explain and pass down to future generations. In my mind the fact that new species of dinosaur are still being discovered supports the biblical worldview and its assertions that creatures such as Leviathan once roamed the earth along with humans.

Thank you so much for the information!!! Then I'll try to find the Job's version of the bible if it's possible but it might be very challenging to find physical copy of the translation especially here, in Mongolia.

Ha, no worries, I'm not offended. I'm sure studying for medicine is very difficult. I'm surprised you have time to do anything else! I basically got a four year degree in social studies, which was not that difficult.

Yeah but I try very hard to make time for myself. That’s why I have been abandoning my account for very long time. Time is getting scarce and I barely can make time for myself anymore.

I know that the medical field tends to be consuming in a persons life because no dad is a doctor. And it's important to train hard for that kind of work. But I think it's also important, if only for your own mental health, to have friends and interests apart from the workplace.
