Funny application entry: Reason for leaving previous job: I fired myself.
Seriously is there a word or phrase in the English (or any other) language for leaving on good/positive terms? The best one I can think of is moving on.

I just put, "Insufficient hours, inadequate income," and you can also put, "Change in career direction, seeking to branch out."

I don't know about calling them shackles, but I have wanted to leave for a long time. Now that it's finally happening, it's an eerie feeling.

I was really hoping to find something else, and now that I have, it's a funny kind of victory.

Congratulations! I recently left an old job and started a new one, so I can understand what you're going through.

It wasn't all that bad but it wasn't a good job for me. I didn't see myself working there forever anyway.
