Aww wow, thank you so very much for this big and lovely ciritque!!
I will definitely work on the dragon's lighting and the darkness!
Such a big praise makes me feel so proud and happy, it shows that all that work I put into my pictures makes sense and is worth it.
I work hard on my style and I am glad you say it works. I want to draw fur, scales and everything, but still i want a cartoony outline and shape, that's very hard to make indeed.
Thank you again, I'll keep your critique in mind

Oh wow! This one is super impressive :0 I got lost firstly, it looks very professional and new level for you! That's really great :>
Firstly, the way you did composition here- yes, it's simple, but OH let me say something about canvas you used here- square. Square is a perfect shape for any kind of composition and expression (just check modern design books - they are all this shape e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l… " width="19" height="19" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="577" title="La la la la"/> ). You know, it something that I noticed right away e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/> It gives some balance, which is the best for such mood and idea in my opinion!
Then, let me say about all colours - they are amazingly natural. Drawing white with no white (and not putting lots of "green" into green e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="395" title=" (Lick)"/> ) - thats a right way to make all work look fine. Only thing I can critique here is the different lighting on the dragon and cat - if you couldn't make good bright lights on white fur (I can understand how hard it is to draw shadows and lights from leaves), then you should make dragon in the "shadows" too - his nose looks very lighten up. or, another idea, put dragon in one, big sun ray, and make everything else in the shades e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=" (Wink)"/> And, actually, thinking about it, this work could be even more perfect with that. But light balance is VERY very hard, I can't get it right myself most of the time ;-; Well, practise, practise and again, practise!
The all background quality is great, this forest looks very natural and ehh.. "comfortable", if I can say that XD It doesn't feel wrong at all. Especially i enjoy lighting between leaves on that huge tree you made <3
The anatomy - wow, let me say you did nice progress here as well *^* Just a classic feline's pose for legs, i love back ones. Only thing i can notice is dragon's ear - i thin it's too low (well, they are dragons, i guess..it does't matter much), but, if you give some reference for deer horns, just my opinion, it's great to give him some mammal features too (and here comes the ear, not realy detailed and in place XD ) but OH WELL, thats pretty tiny thing, YES? So let's just skip this point x) Scales and horns are absolutly great detailed, i can understand how hard it is to draw such horns omg *Buran's ref, hi there XD*
And let's finish it with purplish coours - they give some mystery, cause it looks like a reflection from something placed down under the dragon - maybe he is sitting somewhere on the entrance to another world, haha e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>? with lot's of magic crystals and everything <3 It gives some depth and pop out all dragon from the background.
This work turned out amazingly and i was really shocked to see it! keep up progressing, you are on the right way e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Very, very well done!
I appreciate it even more, since I am a fellow dragon- and cat-lover!
The cat looks a bit frightened to see that very large dragon looming up in front of her, but she does not look utterly scared. The dragon has so much emotion as well! The way he is smiling definitely makes him look like a very gentle and loving creature. I love the way you did the neck, so that the dragon looks like he is almost growing out of the forest itself!
I wish I could paint like that! Or paint at all, really... For now, however, I shall stick to pencils.
Also, as a lifelong cat-lover, once I began getting more and more interested in dragons, I started thinking "Well, dragons are (usually) carnivores, and cats are (usually) much smaller than them, so... how would that work? It would not do for my two favorite animals to be enemies! My house would be in constant chaos, with my dragons chasing my cats!" Then, I got an idea: "AHA!" The dragons could have special bonds with the cats! That way, the cats would not get eaten (which is very good), and the dragons can have cats as friends (even better!).
Now, seeing this awesome and inspiring picture, I know I must get to drawing my ideas.
Again, great job!
Well, enough of my rambling, I must be off!
Fare thee well!

Oh this is long ago! Sorry!
It's always the biggest honour to an artist if their art inspires other people. A great feeling! Thank you!
It's always the problem that big animals like dragons would eat prey. And cats are tiny compared to them. But the special bond idea is nice.

The environs are cool and evocative, and the primal and wise design on the dragon make it majestic. The shaggy kitty adds some cuteness amidst all the dignity of the pic.
