At midnight the young princess snuck out of the palace. The route was already laid out for her, and with the cover of darkness aiding her little escapade she soon found her way to the secret place.

She sat down on the cushion placed there. It did take long before a pale shape drifted towards her in the water, and short after Mariq breached the surface. Pale iridicent scales glittering in the light.

May is almost over and with it, mermay. But like the two previous years Vesprynna and I had to do a mermay themed collab with some of our original characters!

This time it was Sunstra, the youngest princess of the High Queens court with her secret lover Mariq, the High Queens spy, informant and masked guard. He is also a shapeshifter which comes handy in his line of work. The two tries to keep their romance under the radar, but it isn't always easy ❤️
