Description For those of you who watch my regular work, this may be somewhat of a dissapointment, especially with a title involving 'curves.' But sometimes when I get bored in the studio and/or I have a little more time to play in Photoshop I like to try something new. In this case, surrealistic landscapes.

The photo was taken in black & white of some stormy skies over Banning, CA. A Red#2 filter was used to enhance contrast as was Photoshop's contrast feature. I converted the image to RGB and messed with the levels to give the overall photo a purple haze. (*rocks out to Jimi for a second*) I then seperated the land and sky and messed with color levels some more to get a red sky and darker blue road. By that point, though, you had pretty much lost the arrow signs so I highlighted them with the magic wand and made them as close to their original yellow color as I could. I kinda like the effect so I thought I'd share.

With as many people as have seen your page, I'm kind of disappointed that this pic doesn't have any more views/fav's than it does. This picture almost looks like it's moving (and it's not just the Jimi reference, lol). Seriously though, the mix of pink and purple work quite well with this particular shot. Strange that the yellow on the signs still looks like it belongs there, but that may be part of this piece's magic. I LOVE the sky; you picked a great time to click...

Thank you! I wish it had more views as well, but I am a realist... it is neither nude nor female, and therefore not appreciated by the majority of my dA fan base. *sigh*
Thanks for taking the time to comment, as well as adding this to your favorites.

These are my colors! I would have something like this hanging in my bedroom. It is rather tranquil actually. Nice work.

It's very nice in B&W, but I was really bored in the lab...

The colors are really sweet. Landscapes are cool, and this is even better. It feels almost like a dream.

Nice contrast. Normally I don't like landscape photos (I tend to be more of a people person, in art; show me a person and I'll approve!) but this is nifty. I really like the colors.

^^ Making the sign yellow gives it a great 'pop out' feel. So, seeing as I am not familiar with your works, I love this... <.< >.>
