Loyal--'God, Country, Corps' is the old military saying, and it's not far off from what Sscarlett believes. 'Handler, Canidale, Corps' comes closer, better describing the layers of loyalties she hold dear. She can't image betraying any of these and would gladly lay down her life for them.

Proud--As a third generation military dog, Sscarlett carries what she sees as a noble heritage within her. She walks in the paw prints of history and strives to leave her Mark behind. She's also honored to be chosen to be one of the first Military dogs in Canidale.

Fearless--Her ancestors stormed the beaches of Normandy and engaged in bloody trench battles during the Somme. Her grandparents (on one side) patrolled the forests of Vietnam and her Dad rode shotgun with Marines in the Middle East. All this trickled down into their descendant, making her almost crave battle and fear nothing.

Obedient--Sscarlett is one of those dogs who are both eager to please and highly intelligent. Handler or CO, when she's given an order, she does it immediately and to the letter, without question.

Observant--She's trained herself to notice everything, as she wants to become a guardkeeper. This sometimes means she gets lost in the minute details.

Determined--Give her an order, and she'll do it...until she's done or you say 'stop'. This is dangerous, as Sscarlett won't question orders that might endanger herself or are said in jest. She's not stupid--quite the opposite! She's just obedient and wants to prove herself worthy of her Faction.

Green--Sscarlett is young and untested. She's heard of war and conflict, but has never experienced it herself. Training against padded opponents with fake guns is good practice, but it's still just practice. She's never faced an opponent with true malicious intent, human or dog.

Pre-Group History:

Sscarlett and her litter was the result of the Department of Defense's Work Dog Program in hopes of breeding good-tempered puppies who'd become obedient, loyal candidates for their training program. Her Mom was a backyard breeder rescue dog that was given to the program for rehabilitation, and her Dad was a retired Marine dog with 6 years of honorable service. Their personalities (and hearts) meshed well with each other, producing healthy, even-tempered pups. Sscarlett and one other sibling (a brother, Ssarborough) were chosen and put through the classes as soon as they were old enough. Within 7 months, they were paired with their handlers and began training with them for active duty. It would be a few more months before they'd graduate and be sent to their assignments. This is how Sscarlett wound up first on an AFB in Louisiana where she sharpened her skills and helped earn her handler's transfer to Canidale.
