Can I ask you about the forewing, in Xu's 2003 reconstruction it was wider, and now people say it should be narrowed. Is this from the same fossil (VPPV 13352)?

Yep, it is based in IVPP V13352. There are some controversy about the wide of Microraptor wings. I tried to follow the fossil look as much as I can, and that's my result, but I can't say if it's the most accurate.

Thanks mate, I was only curious because I'm flight testing some models of it for my university course and the wing shape is interesting.
Thanks again.

Finally someone who made the wings true to the shape in the fossils. Although the impressions I see make me think that the forewings were even longer and narrower.

I've seen your reconstruction, and the fossil pic, and after some reflexion, I've choose to draw it in this way, because I think the wings could be narrow for a post-mortem effect (maybe smashed or joined together).
Anyway, I think the forewing is a bit too wide in my pic, so maybe I fix that someday.
Thanks for your comment.
