Description *splash!!* The expedition is now in the Early Eocene of Pakistan, 50 m.a, following a river, when we briefly encounter this little wonder... an adult Ichthyolestes!! This smaller and less known relative of Pakicetus is also one of the earliest members of the whale lineage we know so far... a truly wonderful vision!!

That is damn gorgeous!!!

Edit: I fear the reflexion of the animal in the water does not completely reflect the animal's shape, as it seems the long snout and long tail are not represented there, and is just the remaining reflexion of what was left in the original photo. But that's just a minor nitpick, the picture looks really, really cool anyway

Thank you! Ichthyolestes is less known/popular that Pakicetus. It seems to be somewhat more older/basal and smaller than Pakicetus.
