Description Joacim Cans - Singer of the swedish Heavy Metal Band Hammerfall. They´re the reason why I´m into Metal, so I have a very special connection to their music. Joacim has been the reason why I grew my Hair, started dressing in Leather and began making my own Music. Hell, I just fell in Love with these Guys, that sense of rock´n´roll and epicness in their music combined with Joacims melodic Voice... check them out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHYBMZ…

Thank you very much! Do you draw real-life people too sometimes?

Of course. ^-^ I enjoy portraits, especially in graphite!
I have a folder for my realistic/portrait stuff. [link]

Ah, I see!

I can´t comment under pictures somehow, sadly! =[

You do proportions really good and I like how your drawings still look a bit cartoonish in a good way. I don´t know if you´re trying to get over that, but I don´t think you should! It´s unique and makes your pictures stand out!

Thanks for the kind words! ^_^ I am trying to separate myself from the "anime" label, but "cartoonish" is certainly fine. I strive for realism, but in the end I also like that as an artist I can do whatever I want to make the piece appealing to me, realistic or not. I like to have my own way of doing things, my own style if you will.

That´s a good thing to do, and you´re good at it! I´m not too impressed with high realism in drawings. It takes massive skill, but cameras can do that too... to me, it´s much cooler if your drawings actually look like drawings, with visible lines, hatching and some of the little mistakes everybody does!

I completely agree! I am always very impressed with a drawing that looks exactly like a photo, but at the same time it looses its artistic luster to me if it doesn't have any unique qualities when compared to the photo version. I also think that technical drawings of photos should be for practice for original compositions, not the only thing someone does. It really helps to draw from photos, though it really helps me sneak a little more reality into my creative work. ^_^
