Description Been visiting Cologne with my Girlfriend lately. We´ve been at the Dom of course, but we also took some time exploring the City. It´s a beautiful but very busy and unfriendly place. There´s these Gold-Painted people everywhere, mimicking Statues, and a Bunch of stupid girls pushed one of them from his pedestal just for fun. Another one rudely pushed me aside while shopping. Cologne is filled with beautiful sights and people you´d like to punch in the Face.

Awww, it's so annoying when beautiful places are being filled up with rude and disrespectful people!
But the shot amazingly catches those both sides, which is noticeable even before reading the artist's comment

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience in Köln. I'll be going there soon, so I'll keep my eyes peeled for human statues.

Oh, it wasn´t all bad... if you visit the Dom, you´ll surely notice how unique it feels. It´s really overwhelming, but most people believe that the rest of the city keeps up with that. Except for this Church, Köln is a very ordinary NRW City, and very, very busy. Just make sure you don´t stand still between shopping people...

The performers gather around the Dom mostly.

Another thing you should visit is the "Hohenzollernbrücke". A bridge next to the Train Station. It´s a ritual for Lovers to attach small locks to it´s handrails, and meanwhile the Bridge is so overloaded that the City is forced to remove some of them in the near future.

I know about that. One of my friends lives near Köln in Leverkusen and has taken many pictures of the Hohenzollernbrücke.

Beautifully done. I particularly like the way you caught his head backed by the dark panel instead of the open grid. Whether intentional or not, your timing was impeccable.

Thank you Steve. I had a feeling like those people stood in wonderful positions for a spontaneus shot, but there was no time to do it counsciously. It was a lucky shot with little aiming!

It's frightening how many of my best shots are like that. So we train our instincts and hope for the best.

Insticts, yes. I can but agree that photography is mostly about intuition and this sixth sense for the right moment to take a shot.
