Description
My first Pokemon was Torchic and my first Pokemon game was Pokemon Ruby version.

Recently I suddenly remembered how meaningful your first Pokemon is supposed to be, in the midst of all these new Pokemon trends like competitive battling and the Sun Moon hype. It kinda brought back memories.

This character I drew is inspired by Brendan in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, but it's not meant to be him.
I used to think Brendan was wearing a headband and had white hair. I wanted this character's design to stay loyal to the image I had in my mind when I was playing my first Pokemon game.
After all, although everyone played RSE in the bodies of Brendan and May, the images of ourselves as a Pokemon trainer were all different.
