Scatterstein is a robot that spent so long researching the human condition, he believes he is one. Moreover, he figures himself their saviour.

Scatterstein's defining fault is one of false perception. The way he sees the world and the way it actually is are simply incompatible, and his struggle to reconcile the two results in his erratic behaviour.
