After looking through your full gallery, I'm curious as to why you didn't choose to put a large border on this piece?
In my honest opinion, you should lose the border and try more in this direction, because this gives a lot more focus to the photo itself and gives it more character overall. A signature border can sometimes work on really strong pieces, but I think a smaller, more conservative border is universal and allows viewers to really explore the piece visually without feeling constrained.

I think you may be right. My work would have more of an impact with this border. You see, this piece was shot well before the others. The idea of a border (I hadn't read up enough about photography yet) hadn't occured until a few photos later.
