One time while on Normal mode, I forgot to place torches near my pond and an Enderman spawned near my lava pit. The end result of that was me being sneak-exploded by a Creeper while I was fighting said Enderman. And that's why I play on Peaceful mode. Also, on one of the swamp islands in the demo, the only animal that spawns are pigs.
