This should be WAY more popular! You make such moving stories.
Honestly, I dont do story song comparisons much, but I think, for the beginning with all the action, this song would fit [link] and for the ending when Sonic is talking to Chris, this song [link]

Life is so busy after all - too much work and never enough play. Glad you're doing okay.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. It especially doesn't help that a lot of times, people have to settle for something they don't love doing just to pay the bills. (Thank goodness I enjoy my work.)
Yeah, I've been pretty OK overall, though I've been a bit stressed the past few days. I'm dealing with iTunes craziness right now. I e-mailed them to try and make sure I wasn't given a discount that I shouldn't have had, and it's like I'm dealing with robots instead of people when they reply--stock answers galore. They even gave me a refund that I didn't qualify for, so I had to e-mail them and tell them to cancel that. Come on, guys, if my e-mails are that confusing, ask for clarification, you know?
I'm honestly about ready to throw my hands up and go, "You know what, everything else I've bought there comes up as having been previously purchased when I'm logged in, so I think I'll just assume their system knows what it's doing better than I do and leave it at that" as long as they cancel that refund.
Sorry for the wall of venty text. Other than that drama, I've been doing all right.

''It especially doesn't help that a lot of times, people have to settle for something they don't love doing just to pay the bills. ''
Ahh, so, so true. Indeed. Catch-22 as they say, then when we do get the time to do what we want, we're all tired out, drained. Can't find the energy to really unleash that creative side that's been clenched back the entire week.
LOLOL iTunes, huh? You should try NEXT! They can't get my mom's surname right and we've tried over ten times trying for them to get it right, but we gave up in the end. It was hopeless. They can't understand us, and we can't understand them! Troubles galore! So I know exactly what ya mean!
Ah well, don't apoloize, these things happen, and it feels good to rant. It does help, and it's always therapy when ya talk to someone, even when it's online chat. Even the internet gives me rage when it suddenly decides to not open a page. LOL!

Yeah, seconding the "no energy" thing. Worst part of that is I have a story that's been germinating in my head for seven years, but all the repetitiveness of the filing and so forth kinda saps everything. Amazing how that goes, yeah? You don't even expect it.
And iTunes has reached epic levels of ridiculousness now. They gave me a refund on the ENTIRE ALBUM that I'd been asking about, and when I wrote and asked them to cancel the refund, they told me that once staff has added credit back to an account, they can't take it back out again for some inexplicable reason. I assume they would've told me if there was someone who WAS able to do that, so...guess I'm outta luck there.
Your poor mom, I can only imagine how irritating the surname thing was! At least there's arguably something good that came out of my pain, LOL.

Do you have a plot written down for this story? Or some notes that you can always come back to when and if you are ready to write it? Because that'll help you remember big parts and small parts/detail and character dialogue. And it might take some of the pressure off too, knowing that you have something written just in case. Hopefully one day soon you'll get round to writing it, even if you just make a start. Though time goes even quicker when writing, and everything else does get in the way. Trust me, I know.
Dude, looks like ya gonna hafta stick with the refund! LOLOLZ! You will spend your whole life fighting them! And sadly they are getting paid to waste people's/customer's time, which sucks ass. They just don't care. At all.
I hope you are getting in all right despite this. Time's been on my heels too. Lol, always so much to do!

Yeah, that's what counts! BTW great news you've been able to do a little on your story. Any amount of work on it is awesome, trust me. It keeps the story in your memory from perishing and any work on making it grow stops you from feeling so guilty. If I don't do a story over my weekend, despite how busy I am, I just feel guilty for not working on it! LOLZ!

I know, I always feel like I'm letting my characters down when I don't sit and write!
It's a bit of a difficult story to deal with, though...I got the idea for the main concept from a very sad chapter of Australian history. Maybe that's part of why I'm struggling a bit to get it on paper.
