Have you tried making this mask using other material? with the way that it's done, it reminds of the masks in the game "Army of Two".

It just a matter of sourcing materials and if not easy where I live. Most materials are for industry use and pretty expensive to buy in small quantities and ship. With materials cost increasing every year my choices become more limited and I'm not about to resort to using substandard quality materials that may fail to perform or harm the wearer.

Because that mask would look amazing in a solid steel set, though I imagine that would really be expensive. Still, the face mask is fucking badass!

I can do Cold casting which is much cheaper using metal powders. Foundry method for bronze and steel you are paying for cost of metal, labor plus mark up.

wow wow wow, awesome man. the punisher is my favorite character. i'm currently working on a resin and fiberglass ironman helmet i'm planning on painting the punisher colors. what there a template you used for the size and shape of this or was it a scratch build?

Its was hand sculpted over a adult size head plaster form, molded and cast in Resin fiberglass

Well My wife helped made a plaster bandage mold around my head. She has no experience doing the stuff and she did a great job. I filled the mold with plaster and burlap creating a cast. Then just sculpt on top of that or make more smaller/portable plaster casts of the face/ head.

how strong are they typically? I heard that's what they make hockey masks from...

Yeah The masks I make are pretty strong but still Form Follows Function - you want nice looking mask + durability for a costume this is it. You want safety get something that's rated for it. Not recommended for Airsoft or Racing use.

Haha I know - I was kidding with those ridiculous disclaimer notices. I've always want to write that for my masks cuz I got a lot of people wanting to wear it during their airsoft and paint ball. I know my masks are cool I just don't want people getting hurt doing stupid things and risk damaging my beautiful work. Maybe I should charge more for them then people would hire security guards to keep them safe LOL
