Description
It was the only broadcasting facility in Poland that was designed to distribute shortwave radio programs. Via the directional systems and broadcasting antennas, this program reached the territories of western and eastern Europe. The First Program of Polish Radio was broadcast by this radio station. RON Leszczynka is now the property of EmiTel.
After 2010. The radio will not serve its purpose and its functioning began to be unnecessary. With the development of broadband Internet and digital television, shortwave radio stations have lost their audience and hence the money. Keeping the radio was unprofitable.
Since its inception, the property has been heavily guarded and fenced. There was no way to enter the area without proper permission because of the large number of masts with antennas.
Currently all antenna systems are dismantled. Only two buildings left. The main building, where all the radio handling equipment were housed and the gatehouse. In the forest you can find a concrete base to which the ropes that hold the masts were attached.
