Description The building, consisting of a warehouse storage facility, a cold store (along with an earth embankment) and a tunnel connecting a cold store with a railway ramp - being part of the Ostroleka Front of the Modlin Fortress, located in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki was entered in the register of monuments due to preserved historical and scientific values.

They document one of the stages of the expansion of the fortifications, which is the most important defensive point of the Russian Empire from the west. Enlargement of the citadel's crew forced a decision to build new facilities, enabling efficient supply of the army with food and the possibility of its storage in the event of a siege. A place with direct access to communication and no significant military function was selected for the location in connection with the expansion of the fortress with a ring of forts. In addition, the designers skilfully integrated both buildings into the existing road system and embedded into the neighboring brick buildings, as well as earth reinforcements. A particularly valuable object is a cold store, characterized by a huge volume hidden under the layer of earth. The building, completely devoid of decorative elements, is distinguished by its simple and functional architecture. The uniqueness of the cold store is also the fact that it is a unique, fully preserved example of the accompanying construction and the entire subordinate military development, co-creating the large-area fortress. The architectural detail of the storage facility of the stewardess, possessing features of simplified classicism, referring in form to the old military construction, is also valuable.

In 1935-1939, the Private Coeducational Middle School of the Military Family in Modlin was established in the storage building.

The facilities are located to the east of the citadel and north-west of the Pancer bridge, on the foreground of the external fortification, between Mieszka I (road leading to the Ostrołęka Gate) and Chłodnia (formerly leading to the railway gate).
