Description Panorama of the Tatra Mountains is the largest non-existent Polish panorama ever created. It depicted a panorama of the Tatra Mountains from the top of the Copper Mountain (2233 m above sea level). The painting had dimensions of 115 m long and 16 m wide. Thus, it was larger than the Racławice Panorama. The painting as a collective work was created in Munich in 1896. The preparation of the sketches took the group of painters over two years.

The painting depicts well-known people connected with Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains, including Tytus Chałubiński and Jan Krzeptowski-Sabała. The painting was exhibited in a specially built rotunda designed by Karol Kozłowski at Dynasy Street. Great costs of the whole project, as well as insufficient interest of people watching the Panorama of the Tatra Mountains led to the auctioning of the painting and cutting it into parts.

Since 1913, the rotunda on Dynasy Street has housed the Jewish theatre. In 1937 the building was purchased by the Chavrolet company, which after its reconstruction opened a modern car repair shop and petrol station in its interior. During World War II the rotunda was significantly damaged. After the war, the underground storehouses of the Polish Theatre were located. Now the building is abandoned and systematically devastated.
