Description BLU (Builders League United) had been falling on some real hard times since the end of the Gravel War, and the much later Robot War that ensued. Those hard times are largely attributed to the severely diminished resources of BLU that had been all but spent on funding the operations of the organization's "Team Vanguard" mercenary group. Each time the group tried to rise up, its operations would be shattered to pieces by Team Fortress or any other group, with its most humiliating defeat coming at the hands of Gray Mann's reestablished "Team Fortress Classic" group, where Team Vanguard held their own handily against them, but eventually their wills were broken enough that Team Vanguard kept their heads low willingly to save their skin from the wrath of Gray Mann. Some of its members went on to join Team Fortress, but many stuck to their guns, not wanting to align themselves with their greatest enemy in RED's own band of mercs.

For many years since the end of the great conflict between RED and BLU, the tight-knitted members of Team Vanguard had been hard at work gathering resources and new hands, and when the new management at the reestablished Builders League United came calling, they were more than happy to get back in, to get a second chance at cracking not only handfuls of RED skulls, but also of the new players in the field.

---

In the new conflict, there's no Gravel War anymore. There is no conflict over worthless pits of gravel. By now, the world had known that the deepest reaches of the world is richer than gravel, and now there's a new war in town, one that concerns not of two long-dead brothers fighting over worthless land, or a hidden third brother throwing its merry band of armed robots against the world for control over the largest munitions company headed by an Australian strongarm, but an all-out war over something more precious than pits of gravel, or non-existent stockpiles of Australium, and it ain't just RED and BLU anymore, and we're not even talking about GRN and YLW, for there are even more major players in this batsh*t insane war.
