Hey i have a question. The answer may be obvious but, are you excited for Outlast 2?
Nothing has been confirmed about it yet, except that it'll have a new location, new story, and new characters. The developers aren't going to release it until they themselves are too scared to play it.

I don't know, but I hope that new part of this game will be interesting. It's not too bad to try something new for us and for authors, right?
But I'll miss old characters alot. Miles, Walrider, Waylon... I love them. And outlast just by itself. This project is awesome and I hope that in new part will be the same scary and cool atmosphere that we have got in first game
I'm waiting for it anyway!

Red Barrels said that Mount Massive will be back someday. But they want to focus on some new things before that. So old characters might come back in a future installment... except the ones that're dead of course (unless they make a prequel).
I honestly think it might be scarier than the first game If they don't give the enemy AI set paths like in the first game, if you've played it as much as i have (which i lost count of after a while), it looses its fear factor if you know where they're gonna go. Hopefully they have it like Alien: Isolation, where you have no idea where the monster is gonna go.
Anyway, Red Barrels look like they know what they're doing. And if a game can scare it's own creators... that's just amazing.

Well... I was reading about new place and new characters in outlast 2, but I wasn't know that authors are scared by their own new game.
I wasn't play in outlast. My laptop is old and I have no money. I was watching it only X)
I hope, that new part of this game won't be gross. I want it be really scary. Because gross and scary are some different things.

Yep! They said they won't release it until they're too scared to play it. That's something i don't think many horror game developers do. I think that Scott Cawthon got himself jump scared while testing the AI in FNaF. Scott and Red Barrels are the only people that i know of to be scared by their own game. But maybe i'll get myself scared when i attempt to make a horror game.
I think they should have less blood and guts in this one. I don't mind it, but i think it'd be scarier if there's less of it. So when there IS blood and guts, it's a little more scary/disturbing. But they can do what they want, it's their game.
