i think i spent a little less than 7 hours on this piece. half of it was spent drawing Gurnam : P she looks a bit out of place doesn't she? huh.well im not so happy about the composition ehh. maybe next time ill actually care about it.
so! we have a steampunk setting... again. i had this idea floating around in the recesses of my brain for... like only a week.

The light looks very warm here. :3 and I gotta say...THE DETAIL ON THE PIPE IS AMAZING. AWESOME. FANTASTIC! yay.

The only thing I think should have been added was more orange/yellow lighting from the flames on her hair ;v; But that's just what I think, what do I know? X,D

When I saw this in my messages I was like wow must click! But then I pressed the cross and I was like nuuuuu! So I finally got to this magnificent piece! Wow Gurnam looks really 3D in this picture! <3 I reeally like the pipes they look, REAL!

AHEM. This is like, the best I've seen from you so far. The steam and the bits of fire are fantastic. They add the ability for more lighting and detail. I love how you drew gurnam! It's been a while since I've seen original art from you including urnam. And her goggles <3 I want them. The shading on her is real nice and her hair fits her posing and where she is! The shading is really nice! Especially on the pipes and gears! I love how you chose the colors as well! It really makes the 'steam' stand out in steampunk. The pose is really creative to! But this art work made me gasp, and probably made Leonardo Da Vinci gasp as well. Keep up the spectacular work!

i look up to davinci for anatomy and the way he can just make things so believable, even though a lot of his designs and drawings have been proven not to work. [some of them have been proven to work perfectly though o:]

Looks awesome! I really love how you shaded it! Btw how do you make everything so clear? When I try to draw a good background everything turns out blurry and most of the time it's too much or too less shaded :/ did you shade it with the dodge and the burn tool or did you use special layer modes? Sorry for asking so many questions xD

too much or not enough shading is determined by the artist and how long they've been practicing.
