Nope, not the slightest bit of Russian descent. I'm of French/Irish ancestry.
I made Steel Wolf Russian because back when I was a teenager it seemed like this cool mysterious place. Being a Cold War, 80s kid, there weren't as many characters who were Russian then and it seemed like a good background to carve new stories.
