Okay, yes, maybe there had been a few--unpatriotic types, the lot of 'em!--who said it was irresponsible to blow the Goblin Army's entire operating budget on his new coat. Yes, fine, it had been expensive. Okay, maybe they couldn't afford uniforms for anybody else, and everyone had to bring loincloths from home.* Fine. They were goblins, damnit! They had nothing to be ashamed of!

Besides, Globberlich knew he looked good.

*The Eighteenth Infantry could not afford loincloths, much to the dismay of the Seventeenth and Nineteenth, who had to march next to them. But hey, if their fellow soldiers felt that way, think how the enemy would feel!
