I felt the Curious Quail needed a friend.6 x 6 mixed media, including ink, acrylic, metallic pigment, microscope slide, cut paper, squares of clayboard, modeling paste applied with a crude pastry-bag made out of a sandwich baggie with a hole cut in it, and gloss gel.

The Odd Thrush is ostentatious in his oddness, as he lacks alliteration. The Curious Quail simply cannot comprehend.

Ziplocks beat pastry bag all to hell. They come in all sorts of nifty sizes, will take a tip or not- your choice, and you don't have to clean the ^#%^@! afterwards.
That said, this is adorable! Bird looks like it's watching something and is about to flit off for a closer look.
